Carol Preisinger's talent, communication skills and creativity can work for your golf game or your corporate event. Her personality and skills make her successful with both men and women golfers, as evident by her 50/50 male to female student ratio.
Carol played college golf at the University of Georgia, graduating in 1984 with a B.A. in Psychology. Her talent in playing the game was nurtured by her father, George, a life member of the PGA, so Carol virtually grew up in a golf shop. She chose to join the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Membership in 1988. Golf has truly been a family business for the Preisinger family, as Carol's oldest brother, George Jr., worked for 15 years as a golf course superintendent.
While Carol has built most impressive credentials as a top-ranked golf instructor, she has served the industry at private, public and resort facilities as an assistant professional, head professional and golf shop manager. After many years at City Club Marietta (Georgia), Carol became the Director of Golf Instruction at the Kiawah Island Club, in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, in July 2004.
Carol initially developed her reputation as a top golf instructor with honors as the LPGA National Teacher of the Year in 1998. She has also been a fixture on respected industry lists such as; Golf for Women magazine's Top 50 Teachers, and Golf Digest's "Best in State" lists. In addition to these credentials, in January 2005 Carol also received top honors by being named as one of Golf Magazine's Top 100 Teachers in America.
Besides her demanding schedule at the Kiawah Island Club, Carol is active in numerous corporate golf and motivational outings, LPGA National Educational Programs, and various golf seminars and workshops. She donates time and lessons to local charity events and served as a National Evaluator for LPGA Practical Test Sites for many years.
